Contract position$40.00 /hourFirst ShiftAssess facility operations for regulatory applicability, and local regulatory compliance.Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal safety, health and environmental regulations.Actively drive and support for Health and Safety programs (e.g., workplace safety and contractor administration) with operations and plant leadership level associates at the site.Identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with chemical processes.Oversee the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals.Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.Assist in the development and implementation of employee safety programs.Participate on EHS project teams.Provide and monitor safety training programs to instruct employees in site EHS policies and procedures.Respond to emergency situations and coordinate evacuation efforts if necessary.Maintain records of safety-related incidents and submit necessary reports to regulatory bodies.Focus on promoting and supporting an EHS culture from within by driving the implementation of core EHS programs, policies and initiatives.Lead Incident Investigation and drive corrective action through cause mapping and 5-why analysis.Be an active, engaged part of the site safety team by interreacting with associates remotely and in the field.EHS Leader Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an EHS professional in a manufacturing/industrial environment, (chemical industry a plus).Bachelor's degree in any discipline is preferred but not required.Industrial Chemical Industry experience is preferred, and combination of formal Health and Safety training will be considered.Demonstrated knowledge and application of health and safety regulations.Ability to work in fast paced environment and self-directed at times.Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization.Ability to lead and influence project teams.Passion for recognizing and leading positive change.Aptitude to lead and make challenging decisions in any situation.10% Domestic TravelWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and celebrate diversity at all levels of our organization.
