EHS Manager

Job Summary

The EHS Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety and health of employees, customers and contractors in the workplace, as well as protecting the environment. This professional develops, implements and monitors safety, health and environmental programs and policies.

Develop, implement and monitor company environmental, health & safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with national, provincial and local environmental health and safety regulations

· Facilitates training in emergency response, hazardous material handling, industrial hygiene, life safety: confined space entry, PPE, LO/TO, Electrical risk, etc..

· Responsible for recommending corrective action where environmental health and safety hazards exist.

· Perform safety reviews on all related projects, installations and modifications to the Plant infrastructure to ensure HE&S compliance.

· Understand, support and communicate company strategic initiatives.

· Utilize other HE&S Managers as resources to ensure best practices are implemented.

· Cost Management (Tracking, Measuring, Reporting.)

· Policy administration.

· Interact with external and internal customers.
