Your Role at KIK

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing safety equipment inventory, conducting regular safety inspections, and managing hazardous waste removal vendors. You will interact with various departments to deliver training in emergency response procedures and hazardous material handling, ensuring that all employees are equipped with the knowledge to work safely and effectively.

As the EHS Manager, you will also be responsible for monitoring environmental compliance and acting as the key liaison with regulatory agencies. You will alert the leadership team to any environmental health and safety risks, providing recommendations for corrective actions to prevent hazards and ensure a safe working environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the chemical manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plans (RMP). This position is integral to ensuring a safe and compliant workplace, protecting both the environment and the well-being of our team.

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor's degree is required5 or more years of environmental, health and safety compliance experience in a manufacturing environment, chemical manufacturing would be preferredBilingual in Spanish strongly preferredDetailed knowledge and understanding of federal, state/provincial and local EHS regulations is requiredExperience with Industrial wastewater and potable water systems, as well as the chemicals or consumer products industry a plusExperience with Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk Management Plans (RMP) or E2 requirements is requiredExperience supervising employees is a plusSelf-driver focusing on continuous improvementAbility to collaborate, work beyond obstacles and build trust with impacted departmentsStrong organization skills and ability to prioritize workload based on impact and facility goalsAbility to drive change by taking projects from proposal to implementationAbility to effectively supervise, coach, and mentor others24/7 Emergency Response:  Serve as lead for Emergency Response Team and the point of contact for all EHS emergencies, ensuring rapid response and resolution to incidents at any time
