Danfoss is seeking a dedicated and experienced Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to provide leadership in safety, environmental, and health matters at the site level in Cerkezkoy, Tekirdag.
The selected candidate will direct EHS activities, establish objectives and targets, ensure compliance with national and global regulations, and foster a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Develop and implement EHS goals and activity-based objectives for leadership, functional managers, and front-line supervisors. Collaborate with management and employees to achieve department and plant safety, environmental, and health objectives. Lead and manage the EHS department, ensuring effective implementation of safety, health, and environmental programs in alignment with corporate and regulatory requirements. Establish leading and lagging indicators to track performance against EHS targets. Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory EHS standards, including ISO 45001 & ISO 14001. Lead Workstation Risk Assessments (WRAs), environmental aspect evaluations, ergonomic risk assessments, and industrial hygiene hazard analyses. Support incident and injury management, including root cause analysis and corrective actions. Manage data related to injuries, environmental metrics, risk assessments, and action items. Facilitate third-party recognition programs to establish world-class EHS standards. Ensure timely reporting and closure of management system and regulatory compliance findings. Support crisis management initiatives and emergency response programs. Foster a zero-incident culture across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate possesses these skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in EHS roles within a manufacturing environment. Professional EHS certification (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001, NEBOSH, or equivalent). Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk management practices. Experience in implementing and auditing ISO 45001 & ISO 14001. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive alignment with key stakeholders. Fluency in English and Turkish. High ethical standards and commitment to safety and sustainability.
