The EHS Manager will provide leadership to the EHS programs at Granville, within the defined World Class Manufacturing (WCM) framework, in a manner consistent with the Principles of Conduct and Action of Saint-Gobain. With strategic guidance from both the central EHS function and local plant manager, this hands-on leadership position will: ensure federal and local legislative compliance, develop and maintain ISO systems, develop an autonomous EHS culture, promote defined Health and Industrial Hygiene programs, define EHS standard operating procedures, provide EHS training, develop risk identification and reduction awareness and methods. This is achieved through participation and employee engagement. **Essential Functions:** **Leadership** : Lead the WCM H&S Pillar, Crisis Management Committee, and contributing member of the Leadership Team. Manage and develop an EHS Technician. Audit and enforce safe behavior/equipment and regulatory compliance of all outside contractors. Lead/oversee the efforts in support of the site's statistical and non-statistical goals. Exhibits model behavior as related to EHS policies and practices and enforces safety rules and regulations in a manner consistent with the corporate Values and Attitudes. **Change Agent:** Proactively drive awareness and communicate best practices related to Safety, promoting an autonomous EHS culture. Develop, schedule and deliver impactful and interactive training to supervisors, employees and contractors on subjects related to EHS. Implement and maintain a best-in-class Behavior Based Safety/SMAT/TF4&5 programs. **Safety Practices** : Evaluates the environment, equipment, processes, and workplace to ensure compliance with government safety regulations, corporate and industry standards. Oversee investigations and reporting of incidents including near miss, and accidents involving injuries and/or property damage and make recommendations for CA. Oversee and maintain site risk assessment initiatives such as Risk Assessments, NOS, etc. and develop and implement action plans. Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance and Production Departments to ensure machinery, tooling and all equipment is safe and ergonomically sound. **Regulatory Compliance** : Oversee the filing of all-internal, corporate, local, state and federal reporting relating to regulatory compliance. Maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification status at the site. Stay informed of current OSHA, EPA, and NYSDEC requirements, and act as the site liaison for all regulatory bodies. Ensure compliance with PSM requirements, air quality permit regulations, stormwater management, and hazardous waste (RCRA) program. Maintain radiation safety protocols and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Lead First Aid/CPR, PPE, and AED programs. Manage the site's Toxic Risk Management (SafeHear) and chemical inventory process. Creates, implements, trains and audits environmental, health and safety policies, procedures and practices. - **REQUIRED:** + BS degree in Engineering, Safety Sciences or related field with 5 or more years manufacturing experience in a regulated industry with a proven track record of success in reducing occupational injuries and maintaining compliance with pertinent regulations. + Strong safety and industrial hygiene experience. + Must have leadership skills, initiative, strong organizational and decision-making skills, team building and motivating skills, and a high degree of customer orientation. **PREFERRED:** + MS degree in related field. + Experience with all EHS State/Federal regulations and reporting. + Experience in ISO Environment. + Knowledge of TQM/Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement Methodology. - Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is **$99,900** to **$154,800** per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is **13%** of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is **$112,887** to **$174,924** .
