This individual will be responsible to communicate, lead, and execute the deployment of policies, objectives, programs, and strategies related to Environmental, Health, & Safety Excellence, utilizing Company Values-based principles. Support Environmental Compliance. Support completion of TOSHA STAR VPP Safety Excellence requirements, Worker's Compensation, On-site clinic, and Wellness initiatives and programs. Provides Training and Organizational development related to these disciplines; to include appropriate recordkeeping. Support Environmental by overseeing the environmental system and assuring compliance with auditing and continuous improvement of system.

Highlights of your role

1. Support policies, processes, and procedures related to ensuring Safety Excellence and VPP Certification via workplace inspections and audits. Ensure effective implementation of these through involvement at all levels of the organization.
2. Support Environmental sustainability by overseeing environmental system and assuring compliance with auditing and continuous improvement of system.

3. Support the On-site medical clinic and First Responders. Lead the Wellness promotion effort, integrating strategies to identify and target specific Health outcomes and cost issues and needs from an educational standpoint. Provides status reporting as needed.

4. Support the establishment of effective root-cause investigations designed to improve Safety capability and reliability.
5. Support and champion continuous improvement of Safety, Environmental, & Health/Wellness activities and Associate participation, including benchmarking and best practices learning.

6. Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics and prepare for management team.

7. Support all efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate program's expectations and applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

1. 1-3 years experience in the areas of occupational helath or safety related role. Leadership / Management experience highly preferred.
2. Demonstrated OSHA, EPA, and RCRA regulations and standards knowledge; VPP experience preferred.
3. Demonstrated Leadership of effective Safety systems/ processes.

4. Experience in emergency response, first aid, AED, and CPR.
5. Knowledge of Tennessee Worker's Compensation laws & procedures, including TN Drug-Free Certification.
6. Health and Wellness activities promotion; On-site Medical Clinic experience a plus.
7. Effective Values-based Leadership demonstrated; Must have a high level of communication skills, verbal and written. Leadership Competencies demonstrated at the appropriate level.
8. Project management skills and experience preferred.
9. Self-starter; Ability to work well in a team and under pressure effectively.
10. OSHA 10 is preferred, OSHA 30 is a plus. If neither are held, completion of one or both is required within 1 year of hire.

12. Effective communication and computer skills: Excel, Powerpoint, 365, etc. 13.Commitment to ethical and professional standards in occupational health and safety.

14. Willingness to work 2nd shift and possibly some weekends.
