Ceco Door is looking to add an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to our team. This is an on-site role that is based out of our manufacturing facility based in Milan, Tennessee.

What would you do as our EHS Specialist?

You will play an integral role and act as our subject matter expert regarding all safety initiatives. You will partner with the Plant Management team, promoting various function to promote a safe work environment and a robust safety culture.

 

You would also:

Prepare reports and maintain safety and injury tracking. Organize and conduct safety training and manage training recordkeeping. Coordinate and provide employee training to assure compliance with TOSHA standards and ADA regulations. Lead root cause analysis events. Conduct investigations of safety incidents resulting in injury or property damage and near misses that could have resulted in injury or property damage.  Manage action items as a result of investigation. Conduct proactive safety Gemba walks, Operational Excellence audits and Occupational Safety Analysis activities. Coordinate Workers’ Compensation program. Track and record safety KPI’s such as safety improvements.  Follow up to make sure identified safety improvements move to completion. Coordinate the Safety Committee and manage activities resulting from committee recommendations. Coordinate employee health testing such as audiometric and respiratory fit and manage results. Monitors the general environment for industrial hygiene related needs such as noise and air quality.  Evaluate need for industrial hygiene studies and coordinate accordingly. Support environmental compliance including monitoring, auditing, training of plant associates in accordance with EPA and ASSA ABLOY standards. Participating member of Door Group safety team and safety programs. Facilitate new employee safety orientation. Manage safety PPE programs. Assist with safety programs such as Safety Week. Maintain strict confidentiality (written and verbal). Follow and model safe working practices and promote safety in the workplace. Perform special projects as assigned or other duties as required. Back up EHS Manager and Waste Water Treatment Technician, as needed. Complies with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.

 

 

What we are looking for:

High School diploma or GED, required. Bachelor’s Degree safety related field or equivalent preferred. 3-5 years of EHS experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience in delivering Safety related training. Proficient in conducting Job Safety Risk Analysis. Familiarity with software systems such as Thrive, AIC, HumanTech, and Powerfleet is advantageous. Certified in First Aid and CPR. OSHA 10/30 certification. Knowledge of OSHA & TOSHA regulations as well as RCA & DOT guidelines. Understanding of Tennessee workers’ compensation regulations. Possess excellent computer, problem-solving and communication skills. Flexibility to work varied hours to meet the needs of all shifts
