Coordinates, maintains, trains and provides oversight of environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs at a plant.
Day-to-Day Role:
Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements. Follow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standards Follow and commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Assist EHS Manager in administering EHS programs Assist in developing training and ergonomic programs Deliver EHS training and new hire orientations for one or more of the following: lock out / tag out (LOTO), fire prevention, hazard communications, confined space entry, hearing conservation, EHS policies and procedures, or other training programs Assist in safety incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action Conduct inspections and audits, identify opportunities to improve, and make recommendations to improve or eliminate unsafe conditions or practices Track and maintain appropriate documentation, and complete reports Collaborate with local Human Resources Manager in the administration of Worker’s Compensation and Early Return to Work Program. Coordinate all hazardous and non-hazardous waste storage, handling, and disposal Ensure procurement of proper EHS supplies including PPE May communicate directly with regulatory agenciesCore Skills and Qualifications:

Prior experience in handling compliance issues, OSHA/EPA programs, regulatory reviews, permit preparation, reporting and record keeping Experience in evaluating/interpreting OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations and NFPA, ANSI, ASTM, ASME, BOMA and BOCA standards Experience with Federal, State and local Worker’s Compensation law and prior experience establishing proactive Ergonomics Program Experience in a manufacturing environment Paper converting, chemical/plastics processing and packaging industrial experience Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Safety Professional (ASP/CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certificationOverview: Dart makes everyday products that give people the freedom to enjoy the food & drinks they love, wherever they are.
