EHS Specialist & ASPP
About this opportunity

As EHS Specialist & ASPP you will promote a culture oriented towards the protection of health, safety and environment assisting and supporting the RSPP & EHS South Europe Regional Manager.
You will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of Health, Safety and Environment systems to ensure compliance with all existing environment, health & safety initiatives, and ensuring the implementation of local legal requirements on health and safety in the workplace and Legislative Decree 81/08.
Responsibilities will include timely reporting to management on any safety accident, incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and environmental status in line with corporate KPIs. You will support the RSPP Italy representative in all communication and coordination with the local health and safety authorities (local/governmental regulator body).
This position is based in Ericsson's office in Italy, with availability to travel to Ericsson and to other customer sites in Italy.
 

What you will do

•    Be responsible for the maintenance and the effectiveness of Company's EHS policies, strategies & goals in compliance with legislative and company requirements, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 (e.g. bidding preparation, ISO management system maintenance, training, KPI analysis and improvement initiatives).
•    Identify the existing risk factors in the company, carrying out risk assessments pursuant to Legislative Decree 81/08.
•    Gather all the information vital for the elaboration of the Risk Assessment Document (DVR and DUVRI) as well as the implementation of specific training programs for workers, also in the Environment field.
•    Analyze and implement adjustments after promulgation of new laws and regulations, resolves requirements, non-conformities and defines corrective actions.
•    Carry out instrumental physical investigations with external support, to update the procedures; collect and process data relating to environmental monitoring.
•    Identify and ensure delivery of the EHS required and non-mandatory training programs.
•    Manage health surveillance in collaboration with external provider.
•    Coordinate and support in the closure of health and safety root cause analysis and risk assessments in alignment with value stream safety representative(s).
•    Participates in the preparation of company procedures, in the drafting of operating instructions and ensures its periodic review and updating.
•    Update and revision of the EHS management systems, the main procedures, the support in the management of internal and external audit activities.
•    Relate to the external and internal control bodies of the company and is responsible for all the bureaucratic procedures required by the supervisory and control bodies of the environment, and safety systems for the achievement and periodic checks of the certifications.
•    Involve, as internal promoter, all company employees in a growing and constant attention to prevention and environmental protection by applying the Ericsson EHS Policy when attending regular meetings and safety committees.
•    Raise awareness to Ericsson Group sustainability targets, and increasing commitment to reach EHS Group targets.
•    Identify the actions aimed at spreading and strengthening the EHS culture within the organization and coordinates the related initiatives that encourage proactive behavior at all levels.

The skills you will bring

•    Bachelor’s degree. Degree in technical education and/or EHS related / relevant fields and/or recognized certificates (e.g. NEBOSH).
•    Expert level knowledge of ISO 14001 (Environmental management system), ISO 45001 (Occupational health and safety management system) and implementing / managing management system elements (i.e. ISO Lead Auditor Qualification). 
•    Expert knowledge of in-country legislation and compliance is mandatory.
•    Knowledge or experience of EHS legislation in Balkan countries is a plus.
•    Evidenced training / expertise in the broader spectrum of Italian EHS topics. In-country native language is essential, and proficient written and spoken English.
•    ASPP (HSE advisor) - Module A, B, C. 
•    Significant experience in Incident Investigation methodologies.
•    Excellent virtual Collaboration Skills.
•    Excellent Influencing Skills and Social Media Communication.
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Willingness to periodically travel within assigned country organizations. 
•    Digital Technology and Data Analytic Skills (i.e. Tableau, Power BI).
