THE ROLE

As an EHS Specialist, you are part of the EHS Service organization of the Benelux, consisting of 3 people. In this position, you are one of the experts for the themes of safety, health and the environment. It concerns a role for 32 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES Acting as prevention adviser for our various sites (Waterloo, Brussels, Gembloux).Developing, implementing and evaluating the well-being policy, in accordance with the Dynamic Risk Management System referred to in the KB Well-being Policy.Coordinating the activities and obligations as a local point of contact for Belgian public authorities (Valipac, FAMHP, FASFC).Performing and supervising EHS inspections and audits (at the BASF Benelux locations).You are secretary of the CPPW and in your role you actively participate in the consultation on prevention and protection at work.Creating awareness about safety, by organizing workshops and training courses (e.g. Safety Days).Coordinating the activities and obligations of the company emergency response organization.Be available in case of emergencies as a member of the crisis team for Belgium.REQUIREMENTS You have a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field and you have successfully completed the training to become a prevention advisor level 2.You have at least 3 years of work experience in a similar position.You have knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO50001 management systems.You have additional diplomas in the field of safety science and the environment.You are fluent in French, Dutch and English, you communicate with ease at different levels within the organization.You are good at setting priorities and know how to switch smoothly between the different parts of this role.WHAT WE OFFER A competitive salary.Challenging assignments with a lot of responsibility and "on the job" training within a skilled and motivated team.An attractive remuneration package including social benefits, and excellent career opportunities within an international company.HOW TO REACH US
