As the EHS Specialist, you will be part of a team of professionals who help every employee to return home safe every day and maintain facility operational effectiveness to provide customers with the best products and services.
You will be responsible for managing a comprehensive Environmental, Health and Safety program for the Reno manufacturing plant.
You will report to the Senior EHS Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and support implementation of company practices to reduce incidents and workers compensation costs.Implement company programs that assure compliance with regulations involving occupational safety and health, environmental, fire prevention and workers compensation.Serve as a subject matter expert for safety, health and fire prevention risks at the site.Maintain reporting and tracking processes for injuries, compliance events and regulatory-required inspections.Actively participate or lead problem-solving and incident investigation teams.Maintain data required by air, water and waste regulations and submit reports as required.Implement company EHS training programs.Complete risk assessments covering industrial hygiene, ergonomics and safety.Assist with management of workers compensation cases.Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in related field.1+ years of experience in manufacturing environment.Understanding of safety and environmental regulations Ability to act as advisor to management and employees across a variety of issues.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
