EHS Technician

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Technician will play a critical role in the facility’s commitment to continuously-improve safety and environmental excellence. **Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:** • Under general supervision, performs various activities to support the Environment, Health, and Safety Department. • Assists with investigation of safety and near miss incidents. Provides coaching to employees with safety concerns or issues. Other duties as assigned. • Assist with Industrial Hygiene Sampling (Air and Noise) as required • Manage Peer to Peer Safety Program • Participate in the creation of regular safety communications, and support regular EHS Communications • Conduct quantitative risk analysis, (i.e. SFMEA, NIOSH equations, Brief/Best analysis). • Conduct Environmental Inspections, (i.e. SWPPP, SPCC, Waste Areas). • Assist with the implementation and administration of the facility safety programs • Facilitate and audit Chemical Approval and maintain the Approved Chemical Document and MSDS documents. **Basic Qualifications** • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Applications • Prior Safety Training and Environmental Experience + Transportation of Hazardous Materials- certification + RCRA Hazardous Waste Management- certification + Hazardous Materials HM101 trained + Bloodborne Pathogen- certification + Hazard Communication- certification • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, fire safety, waste operations, and emergency response • Previous experience in training, teaching or instruction • Previous experience in environmental, health and safety programs • Previous experience coordinating and scheduling activities • Previous experience leading, guiding teams • Experience in Safety Investigations **Physical Requirements**  (with or without reasonable accommodation): • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods, and ability to perform repetitive operations • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. • Ability to climb up and down ladders and use floor creepers, and work on top of machines in process. **Being a member of our team is rewarding!** + Total Rewards Package available from DAY ONE includes: + Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage + Health savings account (HSA) + Flexible Spending Accounts + Short and long term disability coverage + Life Insurance + Healthy Lifestyle Program + Employee Assistance Programs + 401K with 6% company match + Annual 401K employer contribution of 3%-5% **Additional Information** + Work location: Victoria, TX + Shift: 1st Shift - Full Time + Hours: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm, may be required to work overtime + **Starting pay rate: $20.05/hr** **Final Details:** Please frequently check the email associated with your application, including the junk/spam folder, as this is the primary correspondence method.
