The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support our growing workload and contribute to the increased network capacity required to deliver the UK government's pathway to 2030 and the transition to net zero. Our team provides HV cable design supporting construction, procurement, and consultancy on a variety of projects within the sector. We have a growing and developing team that is building on its technical expertise.
Reporting to a Senior Engineering Manager, you will be an established engineering manager with substantial experience of delivering HV cable design solutions and demonstrated leadership and coordination of a mixed team including electrical, civil and CAD resources to deliver successfully on time. This role will coordinate all aspects of HV cable design and communicate closely with internal construction teams and our external client teams. You will be a key member of the team shaping the next phase of the team’s development, and significantly impacting the future growth of the business. This opportunity will allow you to enhance your project management skillset and coordination capabilities across both cable and civil team delivery outcomes and not just only in your area of expertise. In terms of career progression, you can advance to the Senior Engineering Manager role, and eventually reach the Head of Engineering level. Alternatively, you have the option to transition to the Head of Design discipline if you prefer a more technical pathway.
