Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced EKG Technician to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent patient interaction abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care..


Responsibilities
Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) on patients of all ages and varying medical conditions, ensuring accurate and timely results.Prepare patients for EKG procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions.Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including EKG tracings and relevant patient information.Troubleshoot and maintain EKG equipment, ensuring its proper functioning.Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.Assist with other clinical tasks, such as vital signs monitoring or assisting with patient transport.Maintain a clean and organized work environment.Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.Comply with all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.Any other relevant responsibilities specific to the position, e.g., stress testing, Holter monitoring
Qualifications

Minimum one year of experience performing or monitoring electrocardiograms under direct supervision required.High school graduate or equivalent is required, including a course in the physical sciences or electrocardiography.Certified course in electrocardiography or courses in basic arrhythmia recognition is required.Muse, Rumba, AS400 , Windows NT.AHA BLS Fire Safety Card required. (must obtain within 90 days of start date)
