Applies and removes 24-hour Holters. Schedules all aspects of testing when appropriate. Performs transcription and billing as necessary. Responds to codes and performs SAECG. **Job Description** : **EDUCATION** HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience Associate's: College coursework in health sciences desirable. Other: Prefer demonstrated formal education program in EKG. **CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE** EKG-Technician BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider **PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:** Previous EKG or monitor experience in CCU preferred. **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE** Demonstrated lmowledge of EKG procedures. Demonstrated knowledge of billing procedures. Demonstrated knowledge of typewriter/computer. Types at least 40 wpm on electric typewriter or computer keyboard. Knowledge of relevant clinical terminology. Work effectively and positively with other employees.
