Electric Compliance Internship

Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.
The Electric Compliance team is a strategic and forward-looking team that delivers quality data responses and provides insights that enable the business to grow and improve. Our team ensures internal and external requests are managed and delivered with appropriate, accurate, consistent, and timely information.
Position Summary
An Electric Compliance Intern will support the development of timely, accurate, and complete data responses for Electric Operations-related requests. The incumbent is with support from colleges within the department will provide tracking, researching, planning, development, monitoring, and direction of data responses, as well as providing analytical and technical expertise to support data requests. The intern may accompany our team members on audits and other direct meeting interactions with various regulators for the electric distribution and transmission functional area. This position will create delivery schedules, manage communications, approvals, documentation, identify roadblocks/issues, and contribute to the strategy and development of quality and timely deliverables.
PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
The hourly rate for a bachelor’s degree ranges from $19.91 to $35.37
Responsibilities
Tracking, planning, and monitoring of work tasks Research and development of written correspondence for internal or external use Analyze complex data sets for accuracy and completeness Developing requirements for managing electronic records Support audit staff during field audit activities
The successful intern will have the opportunity to lead and/or support activities as described above working with a team of experienced Compliance Consultants. Additionally, the intern will gain knowledge of the larger Electric Operation and Engineering organizations through the work they will be performing.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, computer science or engineering from an accredited University Students must be continuing their education towards their degree during and/or after the internship Must have a valid driver’s license or obtain one at least 30 days prior to start date.Desired: EIT or FE certification 3.0 GPA or greater in both cumulative GPA and major GPA Engineering, data science, legal, or research experience. Ability to work in a team environment and support fellow team members Strong problem solving and analytical skills Strong communication skills, both oral and written Takes initiative and can work independently with minimal direction
