Electric Compliance Reporting Analytics Intern

The people of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of clean, safe, reliable, and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration, and emergency response.
The Electric Compliance team is a strategic and forward-looking team that delivers quality data responses and provides insights that enable the functional areas to improve compliance performance. Our team manages internal and external requests with appropriate, accurate, consistent, and timely information.
Position Summary
An Electric Compliance Reporting and Analytics Intern will develop reports, visual management, and analytics that can help provide compliance insights and trends. Intern will also look for opportunities to streamline data collection methods and create data visualization. The successful intern will have the opportunity to lead and/or support activities as described above collaborating with a team of experienced Compliance Professionals and Reporting Analysts. The intern will gain knowledge of the larger Electric Operation and Engineering organizations through the work they will be performing.
PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
The hourly rate for a bachelor’s degree ranges from $19.91 to $35.37.
Responsibilities
Brainstorm and design innovative ways to assess data and provide visuals to leadership. Utilize and integrate with internal AI tool to facilitate and provide predictive insights based on data. Perform analysis and provide insights to help with decision-making. Document and enhance reporting procedures, processes, and controls. Manage various reporting and analytics initiatives, delivering timely business insights and dashboarding. Contribute to the development of a data-driven culture within the organization. Strong team player and collaborator with cross-functional teams.Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates in process of obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business analytics, data analytics, data science, computer science, engineering, project management or related field from an accredited University. Students must be returning back to school in the Fall of 2025 fulltime. Proficient with Microsoft Suite Must have a valid driver’s license or obtain one at least 30 days prior to start date.Desired:
3.0 GPA or greater in both cumulative GPA and major GPA Experience with visualization using PowerBI. Curious, tenacious, and nimble Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
