This position is responsible for providing design support for residential and commercial developments.

Responsibilities Utilize ArcGIS functions in daily workCommunicate with customers and provide project status on a consistent basisCoordinate and communicate with project team in creating Electrical and Natural Gas Infrastructure Designs to meet overall project objectives and deadlines (for CPS Energy)Prepare and/or revise construction and planning documents as well as exhibits within company standards from redlines Ability to follow and implement Pape-Dawson QA/QC and agency checklists into construction documentsAnalyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete designsInform Project Manager(s) of progress on assigned projects and request work when neededMaintain organized work area to allow access of project information by other team membersFlexible in work assignments and team assignmentsProficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and schedulingApply for utility permits, as needed Qualifications Detail oriented with high level of accuracyEffective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain professional relationshipsCustomer service knowledge and experienceAbility to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervisionMust be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice as changes occur in project needsMust be able to work Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional overtime as neededWorking knowledge of CPS Energy enterprise ArcGIS, electric distribution design standards, natural gas distribution design standards, asset and resource management (ARM), Microsoft Office    Preferred Qualifications Associates Degree in Computer-Aided Design, Geographic Information Systems, or other Associates Degree in Civil Engineering emphasis   #LI-TJ1Working knowledge of civil construction documents
