General Purpose

 

Assists the manager of a geographic territory, region, location or unit that has an impact on corporate, business unit, or organizational objectives.  Contributes to the establishment of strategies and plans, and implements business objectives.  Works with management to manage and allocate financial and employee resources. Is responsible for selecting, coaching, and developing employees and responsible for management of employee salaries. Implements and supports Company programs and policies

Responsibilities

 

Assist Metering Operations Manager in managing and allocating financial and employee resources in company's field customer service organization.  Supervise PacifiCorp Metermen, Meter Readers, Field Metering Specialists or Collectors who install, maintain, test, read and perform connects and disconnects of all electric metering equipment in assigned service territory.    Maintain a safe working environment for employees within the assigned area of responsibility.  Ensure that customer guarantees are met, commission required testing is completed on annual basis, meters are read accurately, safely, and timely in order to meet billing deadlines.   Interface with other organizations within Power Delivery and act as a field liaison between customers and company.   Ensure that debt reduction efforts are enforced and maintained at acceptable levels in assigned areas.   Work in conjunction with other Field Operations Managers to effect a smooth and seamless operation between work groups and for the benefit of PacifiCorp Customers.  
  Requirements

 

•    High School diploma or GED; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    A minimum of two years’ experience in Operations, Power Delivery, Customer Service, Metering or Field Service Organizations or equivalent work experience.
•    Ability to influence customers and employees’ actions toward meeting customer requirements and toward customer service guarantees.
•    Communication and interpersonal skills to communicate expectations, coach employees, provide feedback, and work collaboratively with other departments.
•    Valid driver’s license and willing to travel as needed
•    Must live within 50 miles of the Ogden, Utah area
 

Preferences Related College Degree (Business - Management, Administration, or Human Resources)  Experience supervising/managing union employees  Metering and/or Field related experience in the electrical industry Additional Information

This position is eligible for an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to 12% of salary.
