Minimum Requirements:
Minimum seven years of field experience with extensive knowledge of MV VFD systems in Utilities, Mining, or Oil & GasMust be an experienced Electrician, Engineering Technologist, and/or Electrical Engineer.Familiarity with Canadian and Alberta fire safety codes is an assetExceptional problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving VFD issues in a timely mannerProficient communication skills to lead investigations involving multi-disciplinary stakeholders.Experience with industrial communication protocol.Computer fluent MS/Office and experience with SAPResponsibilities:
Ensure the reliability and functionality of variable frequency drives (VFD) across site. Provide technical expertise for maintenance and troubleshooting of VFD issues with a goal of minimizing downtimeContinuously seek opportunities to optimize and improve VFD systems to enhance performance and complianceEnsure all VFD work complies with industry standards, regulations, and company policies. Stay updated on best practices and technological advancementsAddress complex VFD issues that require innovative and practical solutionsPerform failure analysis, root cause analysis, and incident investigations related to VFDs for issues such as repetitive equipment failureCoordinate implementation of reliability improvement initiatives in conjunction with the equipment asset ownersProvide guidance on VFD equipment strategiesEnsure proactive analysis of critical systems through network programs and implement the appropriate path forward prior to an issue occurringLocation and other Key Details:
