The role

As an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll be integral to the repair, maintenance, calibration, and testing of EC&I components within Radiation Protection Instruments to ensure our customer’s project demands are met in accordance with quality and safety standards.

 

Day to day, you’ll repair, maintain, calibrate and test radiation protection instruments to ensure customer work demands are met.

 

Work to maintain instructions and record information accurately   Conform to local procedures, rules and working practices to ensure compliance with specified regulatory and customer requirements  Provide technical advice, updates on work progress and other relevant information to customer as required  Act as a mentor for other team members as required, including apprentices and new entrants to department to ensure standards and best practices are maintained


This is a full time position, based onsite at Sellafield.


Experience of the Electrical and Instrumentation Technician:

Apprenticeship or equivalent training in relevant discipline (e.g. Electronic, Electrical, Instrumentation, Technology fields)  Knowledge and understanding of conventional and nuclear safety  Proven experience of servicing electronic instrument systems


Qualifications for the Electrical and Instrumentation Technician:

5 GCSEs (at Grade C or above) including English, a Science subject, and Maths at minimum of Grade B 

 

Security Clearance
