Position Title:  Hourly Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

Pay Rate: ($35.99/hr to start. Skill based progression up to $46.59)

 

Start Date: February 3rd, 2025

Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time (Week Days, Four 10hr shifts, may be required to cover rotating shifts (DuPont Schedule) and weekends as needed)

The Job You Will Perform:

The Maintenance Team Member in Optimization will support the manufacturing teams by providing quality maintenance duties to maximize paper machine availability and minimize off-quality product. These duties include but are not restricted to, Electrical circuit troubleshooting and repair Ladder logic troubleshooting with an Allen Bradley PLC ABB and Allen Bradley Drive troubleshooting and repair Rosemount instrumentation and Fisher control valve calibration, troubleshooting and repair Performs maintenance duties to troubleshoot and repair defective equipment in a timely manner. Responds to assigned work orders and inputs to the Computerized Maintenance Management System the work performed on the equipment specified in the work order. Performs predictive and preventative maintenance duties and generates work requests in SAP to repair defective equipment. Assists other team members in the mill as necessary to minimize downtime and maintain quality. Maintains and develops team relationships. Must be able to wear all required personal safety equipment Working environment is 24/7 – ability to be on-call as needed and/or required. Lifting:  Up to 50 pounds Carrying:  Periodically tools, repair materials and equipment to multiple levels. Push/Pull:  Assist in pushing 7,000 pound rolls; assist in pulling 6,000-7,000 pound machine clothing, maintenance tool boxes and tools as needed for tasks. Occasionally ascends/descends stairs, ladders into and onto tanks and other vessels Upper body mobility in order to drive roll grab/bale grab, skid loader. Some assignments require kneeling, crouching, bending, and twisting while installing, troubleshooting and repairing equipment.

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

High School Diploma or GED. Basic computer skills. Able to function in a team environment. Proven record of safe work practices. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to be part of a multi-functional/multi-skill maintenance organization with a willingness to flow to work as required by changing mill conditions and priorities. Minimum of three years industrial maintenance experience in any one of the following maintenance skill areas:  Instrumentation or Electrical. Or One (1) year vocational / technical education in the Instrumentation Electrical Disciplines: Instrumentation or Electrical.
