Key Responsibilities:
ITS Component Installation: Assist in the installation of traffic control devices such as signals, detectors, pushbuttons, and controllers. Support the setup of control cabinets for ITS communication systems. Wiring and Electrical Connections: Carry out wiring tasks, including cutting, stripping, and connecting wires in accordance with plans and specifications. Learn to read and interpret wiring diagrams for traffic control signals. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues within ITS systems, including wiring faults. Support preventative maintenance activities, inspect equipment, and identify any damage. Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols, including using PPE and implementing traffic control measures when working near roads. Assist in setting up safe work zones and become familiar with electrical standards for ITS installations. Documentation and Reporting: Help with the documentation of repairs, installations, and maintenance activities. Maintain logs for inspections, inventory, and faults. Learning and Development: Engage in ongoing training on electrical theory, ITS technology, and industry best practices. Familiarize yourself with AS3000 standards. Communication and Coordination: Communicate effectively with senior technicians and tradespeople to report issues and receive instructions.

Eager to learn and develop your skills. A hard-working, collaborative team player. Strong numeracy skills. Possess a valid driver’s license (P-plates are accepted). Hold or be willing to obtain a white card.
