Electrical Assembler

Position Summary and Primary Responsibilities + Performs a variety of complex duties in wiring of all types of electric boxes and controls having a good working knowledge of electronics. + Works in an efficient and safe manner. + Works from wiring diagrams, prototypes, models or verbal instructions. + Make conversions to existing electrical systems in a neat and orderly manner using necessary tools and test wiring arrangements. Basic Qualifications A. Education + High School diploma or GED. + Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems and mechanical components. + Ability to interpret complex instructions and technical drawings. + Trade knowledge equivalent to 2 years plus 2-3 years of vocational training. B. Experience + Read and interpret technical drawings to determine materials and assembly instructions. Use soldering, rivets, wiring, and support structures. + Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, assemble circuit boards, wiring harnesses, and control panels. + Knowledge of using hand and power tools such as wire cutters, crimping tools, and soldering irons. + Exceeds all requirements of the basic electrical assembler position with over one year training in the assembler position or similar industry environment. C. Preferred Qualifications + Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices is a plus. + Lays out work sequence using material lists and blueprints. + Prepares converted electric boxes and control and makes wiring installation to control boxes as required using such components parts as relays, terminal blocks, transformers and switches. + Connects, solders various wires to complex circuit according to wiring diagrams, prototypes, models or oral instructions, using such tools as cordless drills, wire cutters, soldering iron, pliers, wrenches and screwdrivers. + Maintain good housekeeping habits at all times. + Conducts job performance in a safe manner. C.
