Purpose of Role:

The Electrical / Automation Field Service Engineer role is a thrilling opportunity to work with the latest IIoT technology, focusing on the implementation and integration of the Weir Synertrex IIoT solution. The position involves both remote and on-site support for the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of the solution, as well as managing its integration with customer DCS systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in PLC and DCS system integration, provide exceptional technical support, and drive the global adoption of Weir’s Synertrex Digital Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing global implementation and commissioning of Weir’s Synertrex solution.Coordinating projects for smooth digital solution implementation.Resolving hardware faults in monitoring and optimization solutions.Managing Synertrex applications’ implementation and integration in DCSs and PLC systems.Driving global adoption of digital solutions and manages customer service standards.Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.


Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechatronics or automation field.Experience managing IIoT integration from on-premises gateway, DCS to the cloud.Experienced in configuring systems (embedded + wireless + networking + SCADA + IIoT + ADC).Skilled in network configuration, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.Direct experience with Studio 5000, TIA Portal, and TwinCAT for testing and commissioning industrial control systems.Knowledge of data architecture, modelling, mapping, analysis, and visualisation.
