Role
As an Electrical Automation Sr Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems and components for various projects. You will work closely with other engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure high-quality and cost-effective solutions are delivered on time.
Responsibilities:
Ensures the application of health, safety and environment standards and practices. To comply with HSE procedures, report any incident or observation, perform inspections and participate in the investigation process. Implement the preventive/corrective actions. Keep updated the risk analysis and the environmental aspect assessment. Design, analyze, and develop electrical systems and equipment in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations for electrical system components. Prepare detailed technical specifications, schematics, and drawings for electrical systems. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems into larger engineering projects. Perform testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance on electrical equipment. Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and national electrical codes. Provide technical support and guidance to clients and junior engineers. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet project goals. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements.
Qualifications:
5+ years experience in industrial automation Level 0 or Level 1, or electrical engineering is an asset. 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience in electrical design, including developing detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and specifications. Previous experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks considered an asset. Proven experience with Motor Control Centers (MCCs), drives and motors, including design, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical design, power systems, control systems and circuit design. Working knowledge of common PLC brands (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric) is an asset. Proven ability to manage and execute electrical design projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Comprehensive understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate project risks, attention to detail. Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, engineers, and team members. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule & Working Conditions:
8hr Days – Monday to Friday, with flexibility based on business needs. Work is performed in a steel manufacturing mill.
