THE ROLE:
To help us lead the future of commercial aircraft modification in Boeing EASA Modifications, we are seeking applicants for an Electrical/Avionics Engineer - EASA Modifications Equipment Specialist (Hamburg) (Experienced or Lead) (M/F/D) to join our rapidly expanding, best-in-class team. We will support you to develop your already substantial skills and encourage you to reach your career goals.
The successful candidate will analyze, define, and generate the documentation for the certification of complex equipment in large aircraft modifications for our global airline partners to demonstrate compliance with relevant regulatory and customer requirements and procedures defined in the company’s Design Organization Handbook (DOH).
You will work closely with equipment manufacturers, Office of Airworthiness, and Authorities to ensure guideline understanding, design strategy, and certification.
This role is based in our BGS EASA Modifications site in Hamburg, Germany. Hybrid working options are available. Travel to other sites is expected with occasional international travel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role will require occasional national and/or international travel to visit teammates, customers, and subcontractors.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Current or recent employment within the aerospace industry specifically working with an EASA Part 21G/21J Design Organisation (or equivalent) is essential.Able to demonstrate a comprehensive working knowledge of EASA regulatory and airworthiness requirements including (E)TSO, CS-25, JAR-25, and FAR-25 requirements (relevant to the equipment qualification).Knowledge and experience of aircraft equipment qualifications and/or aircraft integrations. Such as Airbus ABD100 documentation or Boeing D6 documentation.A high level of attention to detail and professional integrity.Ability to prioritize workloads and show flexibility to changing situations/demands.Ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers to embody the core values of the business: Honesty, Integrity and Transparency.Experience navigating OEM data systems for specifications and standards.7 years relevant experience within an EASA Design Organisation (or equivalent).ABOUT YOU:

Typical Education/Experience:
Experienced (Level 3)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
Lead (Level 4)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
