Essential Responsibilities

Range management of HV GIS products – 66kV to 800kV and spring-operated drive mechanism for fast earth switches

Technical support

Support the key functions of the unit with technical clarifications, deviations, etc.

Provide technical resolution to production line and site failures.

Prepare technical notes and arguments to substantiate the product performance and meet customers' requirements.

Maintain standard BOM and revision level in SAP

Interact with design authorities in Europe for clarifications, confirmations, drawing updates based on local requirements, product updates and new developments.

Localisation support & PPAP

Prepare validation requirements for the parts to be developed with new suppliers based on the design and functional requirements.

Support the suppliers with queries, specifications, etc.

Review and confirm alternate material/design/process proposals for local manufacturing feasibility and follow up with design authorities for drawing updates.

Review the supplier reports and validate the localized parts/process/assembly

Coordinate for type tests at internal and external labs for localisation validation

Design authority

Analyze requests for alternate material / process / part under design authority of the plant

Revise/prepare drawings/specifications for products under design authority of the plant

Required Qualifications

Bachelor/ master’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering.

3 to 8 years of experience in technical support role. Experience in HV/MV switchgear products is preferred.

Proficiency in CAD tools like Creo Parametric, Windchill PLM, AutoCAD etc.

Exposure to GD&T, GPS tolerancing, tolerance stack-up analysis etc.

Exposure to manufacturing and assembly processes.

Working experience in SAP is preferred.

Good oral/written communication skills in English.

Good interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and communicate effectively with cross functional and global teams
