Much of it likely to be day travelMaster Electrician or Journeyman preferred Responsibilities Acts as the owner agent and makes technical decisions on behalf of ClientReviews work performed by construction companies and approves on behalf Client the Civil Structural work for cable trays and conduits, I&E work, and Instrument InstallationThis role will provide guidance and support for the following control engineering efforts: Construction supervision of project work, inspection of project work, supervise cutover activities, act in the inspection role during commissioning, track engineered drawing redlines during construction, cutover, and commissioningUnderstand the process, process equipment, and control equipment including associated electrical and instrumentation related to control systems. Interact with operations to develop control system improvements to reduce potential for safety and environmental impact during normal and upset operating conditionsSupport the preparation and utilization of specifications, details, maintenance procedures and documentation improvements for pipeline and related facilitiesSupport the preparation of job plans, construction scope of work, and Request For Proposal providing technical guidance on construction detailsField verify existing I&E drawings and creates redlines for as-built purposes Qualifications A minimum of 10 years work history as an Electrician or Instrument Technician. Preferably a minimum of 5 years construction supervision with an I&E construction companyAptitude to review and field verify I&E drawings a must. Experience as an I&E Designer a plusWorking knowledge of the various PHSMA, OSHA and industry standards as it relates to control engineeringWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, Visio, Bluebeam Revu, Citrix, Syncplicity, DWG Viewer, and ZoomDemonstrated expert knowledge in Industry Standards such as NFPA 70 – National Electrical Code, NEC Article 250 – Grounding and Bonding, NEC Article 392 – Cable Trays, API RP 500 - Recommended Practice for Classification of Locations for Electrical Installations at Petroleum Facilities Classified as Class 1, Division 1 and Division 2, API RP 540 – Electrical Installations in Petroleum Processing Plants, NFPA 496 – Standard for Purged and Pressurized Enclosures for Electrical Equipment, NFPA 497 - Recommended Practice for the Classification of Flammable Liquids, Gases, or Vapors, and of Hazardous (Classified) Locations for Electrical Installations in Chemical Process Areas, and NFPA 70E – Standard for Electrical Safety in the WorkplaceAbility to quickly learn Client Standards and Specifications relating to I&E design and workMust possess strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and have the ability to quickly learn new applicationsMust be a self-starter and able to work both independently and with others in the organization.Must have the ability to perform light work, able to lift minimum of 20 pounds occasionally and be able to reach overhead, stoop, bend and twist while workingTWIC Card required
