We are assisting a leading delivery partner specialising in Data Centre Solutions with expertise spanning the entire lifecycle of data centre projects in their search for a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Construction Manager. As Electrical Construction Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all electrical construction activities including planning, directing, and coordinating all electrical-related work while ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety regulations, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Supporting the Project Manager, you will develop and implement detailed construction plans for data centre electrical systems, ensuring alignment with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Lead and manage electrical teams ensuring proper training, performance management, and compliance with safety protocols.
Perform regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure the integrity of all electrical installations.
Conduct regular safety meetings ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on-site.
Oversee the procurement of electrical materials and equipment in coordination with the procurement team to ensure that materials are available when required.
Identify potential challenges or risks related to electrical construction and develop solutions promptly.
Collaborate with clients, project managers, and relevant stakeholders to provide regular updates on project progress addressing any concerns or issues related to electrical works promptly and professionally.
Maintain accurate records of all electrical construction activities, including daily progress reports, inspection logs, and material deliveries and provide detailed reports to senior management.
Ensure all electrical systems are tested and commissioned according to project requirements.
Degree/qualifications in Electrical Engineering, City & Guilds Certificate, HNC/BTEC or NVQ.
5+ years of experience in electrical construction management, preferably within a mechanical and electrical contracting environment.
Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and data centre construction methods.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
Strong problem-solving abilities, with the ability to make decisions under pressure and manage project risks effectively.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to clients, stakeholders, and team members.
