Scheduler - Electrical Contractor - Richmond, VA
We are looking for an experienced Construction Scheduler with the ability to interact with workers at all levels and a high level of professionalism, resourcefulness, flexibility and efficiency. They will provide oversight of all planning and scheduling activities for the construction project. The candidate will have overall responsibility for scheduling projects so they can be kept on budget, on-time and as per project scope and objectives set for the project. The successful candidate will have to be exceptionally organized and be great with back-office work.
Responsibilities:
Provide oversight of all planning and scheduling activities and the supervision of scheduling team; create schedules and lead project scheduling meetingsEnsure that corporate planning and schedule plans are implemented and that all project related activities complyCreate QC project schedulesAct as point of contact for all scheduling needs and lead project scheduling meetingsEnsure crews have resources and support and provide work direction and performance evaluationsIdentify hiring needs and participate in hiring, discipline, and dismissal decisions if neededImplement the companies Zero Injury Safety Program at project siteMaintain relationships with all visitors to the site: customers, architects, union representatives and subcontractorsManage site work and logistics efficiently and provide suggestions for improvementInterface with clients, communicate with Project Field LeadershipReports to Project ManagerQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field a plusMinimum five years construction scheduling or equivalent experienceDeep understanding Oracle Primavera P6 - Project Management and Control experience requiredMS Project or any other project planning / scheduling SW a plusCritical Facilities / Data Center Experience preferredStrong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skillsPossess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesEffectively work with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsAbility to communicate concisely and professionally, both in writing and verballyExcellent inter-personal, organizational and communication skillsPrevious experience in the Military / Military Veterans a huge plus! Experience with Electrical / Mechanical: Navy nukes - EMN, ETN, MMNs, SeaBees, Army - Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, Army National Guard, etc.Submittal Instructions:
