Electrical Contract Administrator, Buildings
Working collaboratively, several of our groups are partnering to deliver some of the most historic, cutting-edge Buildings projects. WSP is currently seeking an **Electrical Contract Administrator** to join our Buildings Mechanical & Electrical Engineering division, in our Edmonton, AB office. You will be responsible for the Contract Administration related to Healthcare, Educational, Institutional and Commercial construction projects. You will work together with clients, municipalities and contractors on constructability reviews, quality assurance and resolving construction issues. We offer attractive pay, flexible work options, a great corporate culture, comprehensive and employee-focused benefits including virtual healthcare and a wellness platform as well as great savings programs, and a clear vision for the future. \# **WeAreWSP** **What you can expect to do here:** + Administer and support contractual obligation on projects in construction phase; + Liaise with the contractor, client, design team, utility companies, government agencies and other project stakeholders, to ensure the overall success of the project; + Maintain responsibility of contract administration deliverables, and ensure that they are delivered in a prompt and accurate manner, meeting and exceeding client expectations; + Negotiate various contractual matters including price agreements, change orders and claims; + Attend construction meetings, complete site reviews on behalf of Engineer of Record, respond to field questions. **What you’ll bring to WSP** : + CET, C. Tech designation, Electrical Engineering or Electrical Journeyman experience + Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Electrical Engineering, with a substantial focus on Buildings infrastructure construction. + Proven aptitude for estimating construction schedule, quantities, and costs. + Experience with progress payments, change orders, leading site meetings, preparation of minutes, and providing guidance to field staff in relation to contracts. + Good knowledge of construction best practices, including equipment, materials, and quality assurance techniques. + Strong communication skills, both oral and written. + Strong conflict resolution skills. + Ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues, associates, and clients. + Excellent organizational and prioritization skills are a must. + Ability to effectively multi-task and work in fast paced, high change environment. + Good initiative and attention to detail. + Proficient with MS Word and Excel. + A valid Alberta driver license with an acceptable driving record. **WSP** is one of the world's leading professional services firms.
