Job Summary
The Electrical Controls Technician provides electrical and technical support to the facility
with an emphasis on troubleshooting existing electrical theory, as well as be proficient in
programming and troubleshooting PLC and related systems. The controls technician will
also be an ongoing part of the design and upgrading of new and existing equipment for
continuous bakery improvement.
Essential Job Duties
Provide technical assistance to maintenance personnel on electrical hardware and software to maintain and keep the plant in operation when breakdown occurs.
Locate electrical/electric problem areas and design systems to improve operations of plant machinery.
Redesign existing electrical systems when the present components are obsolete and no longer available.
Participate with bakery and engineering in the design and/or operation of new control systems.
Fill in as electrical supervisor as needed.
Coordinate the wiring of electrical equipment and components, maintain documentation to include all back up disks, electrical equipment manuals and updates the plant’s
specifications of usable electrical components.
Assist in the training of plant personnel through empowerment of electrical personnel to ensure that they are capable of maintaining systems with minimum supervision, downtime and loss of productivity.
Ensure that all GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) are followed.
Ensure all safety rules and programs are adhered to and train lock out and tag out procedures.

No direct reports.
Participate in Maintenance Department on-call schedule.
Supports programming & PLC related troubleshooting across all shifts.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Must be MS Office literate, with Allen Bradley working knowledge. Prefer AB experience with VFD’s Servos, and motion control. All other PLC software experience helpful.
Must be open to learning new processes and skill
Prefer 2 years Industrial Electrical Degree.

Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$64,315.00 - $103,740.00Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
