Electrical Controls Engineer
MAU is hiring an Electrical Controls Engineer for our client in Deer Park, TX. As an Electrical Controls Engineer, you will support automation, process control, and electrical infrastructure across North American manufacturing plants. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Required Education and Experience 4-Year College Degree in Electrical Engineering 5 to 8 years of experience in consumer products controls work and project execution Preferred Education and Experience Master’s in Engineering or Business Administration Professional Engineer License Rockwell Automation Product Certifications Siemens Product Certifications Project Management Certifications General Requirements Demonstrated knowledge of Siemens PCS7, WinCC, Rockwell ControlLogix, SLC, PLC5, FactoryTalk View, and AutoCAD Working knowledge of National Electric Code (NFPA70, NFPA70B, NFPA70E, NFPA79) Experience with machine safety systems, SISTEMA Level D compliance Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems and industrial control networks (Profinet, Ethernet IP, AS-I, IO Link) Essential Functions Support automation & process control systems of manufacturing plants in North America. Requires demonstrated knowledge of Siemens PCS7, WinCC, Rockwell ControlLogix, SLC, PLC5, FactoryTalk View, and AutoCAD Support capital projects being led by Process, Packaging, and/or plant engineers that have electrical or automation & process control components within their project scopes. Support data collection, I4.0 migrations, OT networks, and cyber security initiatives. Support electrical infrastructure and power distribution systems of manufacturing plants in North America. Requires working knowledge of National Electric Code - NFPA70, NFPA70B, NFPA70E, and NFPA79. Maintain machine safety standards: Lead/Perform Machine Risk Assessments. Ensure machine Controls for safety systems meet Sistema Level D category.  Review new machine documentation to make sure the equipment exceeds Valvoline safety standards. Oversee of 3rd party panel builds for plant upgrades and capital projects, ensuring adherence to corporate standards, NFPA Standards and industry best practices. Requires working knowledge of NEC and NFPA79 Provide subject matter expertise while assisting third party controls systems support across domestic sites. Develop and maintain 5-year automation & process control equipment plan for remediating obsolescence in N.A. plants Obtain continuous learning and stay abreast of industry trends Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion. Primary interactions will be with corporate engineering team, plant leadership, plant maintenance teams and some plant operations as project work dictates. Secondary interactions will be with Senior supply chain leadership when requesting project approvals. External interactions with engineering firms, contractors, vendors and suppliers Working Conditions Remote role with significant travel to manufacturing plants and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
