A Controls Engineer develops and maintains Electrical Controls Hardware & Software
Job Responsibilities
Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting and read electrical printsProvide technical content for documents such as machine set-up manuals, operation instructions, and help filesWork closely with Assembler and Project Engineer during machine buildPrimarily responsible for commissioning and debug of machinesSupport production by troubleshooting and programming existing and new plant automation equipmentMaintain accurate and consistent schedules for projects and tasks for multiple plant projects.Program and design new and existing PLC controlsWorking with production and process to optimize line flow, cycle time issues and quality concerns through changes in programming or troubleshooting of controls.Work to help develop new technology for the plant to utilize in efforts to improve cycle times and quality detection/ prevention systems.Ability to wire industrial control systems including 480V/120V/24V power, drives, motors, I/O and sensorsAbility to connect to PLC and navigate programming softwareHands-on approach to problem solving and analysis. QualificationsQualifications
