Marley Engineered Products is a marketplace leader in innovative comfort heating and ventilation solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial markets. With a portfolio that includes baseboard, wall, unit and infrared heaters as well as ceiling fans and air circulators, we create simplified heating solutions for our complex world.
Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and motor controls. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or other automation platforms and be able to diagnose and repair electrical and control system issues in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment. In this role you will be responsible for the troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining of various equipment and machinery. This will include the preventative maintenance and repairs of all equipment at Marley Engineered Products site.
Core Responsibilities
PLC Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and repair PLC-based control systems, including Allen-Bradley (RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000), Siemens, etc. Control Panel Wiring & Installation: Read and interpret electrical schematics, wire control panels, and assist with equipment commissioning. Sensor & Instrumentation Troubleshooting: Work with proximity sensors, encoders, flow meters, thermocouples, and pressure transducers. Industrial Networking & Communication: Troubleshoot EtherNet/IP, Modbus, ControlNet, and DeviceNet communication issues. Collaboration & Documentation: Work with engineers and maintenance teams to improve system performance and maintain accurate documentation. Serves as the primary resource as part of the maintenance team for process/machine control issues. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, identify the root cause, and return the equipment to safe, efficient operating conditions. Respond/Perform scheduled corrective maintenance to reduce production downtime. Maintain daily and yearly records of repairs within CMMS (MVP) Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines and equipment according to the PM scheduling. Identify improvement opportunities and work with the Maintenance Leader and Manufacturing Engineers to develop and implement a sustainable solution. Maintain industrial electrical systems, including wire 480V 3PH equipment, troubleshot electric circuits, replace or install electric components (i.e., sensors, switches) Read and interpret work orders and equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service Responsible for safe work habits while maintaining a clean and organized work area. Assist in finding ways to prolong production machines repair times and parts Record work performed, parts used, and time required in the CMMS system (MVP). Follow all plant and environmental policies as well as plant and departmental safety policies. Perform other duties as directed by the Maintenance Leader
Basic Qualifications
AAS Degree in Mechatronics or Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Maintenance OR 5 years of work experience in industrial maintenance and HS Diploma/GED Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude Strong knowledge and understanding of PLCs and computer-based systems. Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring devices Accurate troubleshooting/problem solving skills Strong communication and computer skills with a team mindset for projects and objective directed goals Experience with industrial electricity 480VVoltageC Control voltage Ability to read and interpret maintenance-related drawings (electrical/mechanical), schematics, and sketches. Must have strong computer skills using Windows-based environments, email, and the internet. Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment with skills in electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure. Mechanical overhaul experience on flywheel-driven equipment, hydraulic press equipment, and gearboxes. Experience and training in LOTO.
Preferred Qualifications
AAS Degree in Mechatronics or Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Maintenance WITH 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens PLCs. Knowledge of robotics, control systems, or pneumatic controls. Experience in manufacturing heavy industry. 3 to 5 years industrial maintenance
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Capable of lifting 50 Lbs. and 20 Lbs. overhead.
• Bending, squatting, stooping, twisting, turning, reaching.
• Climb ladders operate man lifts and scissor lifts.
• Able to wear a safety harness when required to perform duties.
• Working in elevated temperatures >90°F and cold temperatures <40°F.
