Find your future with us. **Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS)** is seeking motivated and talented **Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer** to join the Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems (SIWS) Electrical Engineering Team in **Albuquerque, New Mexico** at the Laser and Electro-optical Systems (LEOS) facility. Come build your career with Boeing! **Position Responsibilities:** **(Experienced, Level 3)** + Analyze customer and system requirements to develop basic architectural approaches and detailed specifications for various electronic products + Develop high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications + Validate designs through various methods of review, testing and analysis. Identifies, tracks and statuses technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements + Support Supplier Management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services of limited scope + Provide engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product + Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements + Work under general direction **(Lead, Level 4)** + Lead analysis of customer and system requirements and development of architectural approaches and detailed specifications for various electronic products + Lead development of high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications + Lead reviews of testing and analysis activity to assure compliance to requirements + Identify, tracks and statuses technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements + Lead activities in support of Supplier Management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services + Coordinate engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product + Plan research projects to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements + Work under minimal direction **(Senior, Level 5)** + Resolve complex issues on critical programs related to architectural approaches, requirements, specifications, and design + Lead technical aspect of proposal preparation. Identifies critical performance measures and develops processes for computing them + Lead activities in support of Supplier Management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services + Coordinate engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product + Develop new concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements + Recommend and manage technology insertion + Work under consultative direction **This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.** **This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.** An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. **This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.** **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):** + Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. + **Experienced** ( **_Level 3_** ) Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related work experience **_or_** Master’s degree and 3+ years of related work experience **_or_** PhD and related work experience + **Lead** ( **_Level 4_** ) Bachelor’s degree and 9+ years of related work experience **_or_** Master’s degree and 7+ years of related work experience **_or_** PhD and 4+ years of related work experience + **Lead** ( **_Level 5_** ) Bachelor’s degree and 14+ years of related work experience **_or_** Master’s degree and 12+ years of related work experience **_or_** PhD and 9+ years of related work experience **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):** + Experience with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design + Experience developing firmware for embedded applications (FPGA, etc.) + Experience in performing worst case circuit analysis and circuit stress analysis + Active Secret Clearance + Experience with Xilinx design products **Typical Education & Experience:** **Experienced (Level 3)** Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. **Lead (Level 4)** Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. **Senior (Level 5)** Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience).
