**Purpose**
Oversee the electrical installations for large construction projects. Visit jobsite to confirm electrical subcontractors are performing to the highest standards and all electrical designs comply with project scope, customer specifications, and NEC standards.
**Responsibilities**
**Leadership and Direction**
+ Perform work under limited supervision. Receive direction on complex assignments with general guidance on execution. Work is generally reviewed by more senior staff to ensure application of sound techniques and principles. Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.
**At the Operational and Company Level**
+ Help identify partnership needs, build vendor relationships, and participate in subcontractor performance management.
+ Work collaboratively with multidiscipline design team.
+ Interact with regulatory agencies and clients.
**Do the Work**
+ Prepare and respond to Requests for Information (“RFI’s).
+ Make regular site visits to confirm the performance of electrical subcontractors.
+ Ensure that all electrical designs comply with NEC and customer standards.
+ Oversee electrical installation, including material coordination and manpower scheduling.
+ Track / update contract modifications or change orders as necessary.
+ Manage site work and logistics efficiently, providing suggestions for improvement.
+ Build a relationship with internal and external customers.
+ Communicate project progress and provide status updates to the Project Manager
+ Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and successful completion of projects.
+ Attend internal kickoff meetings, customer meetings/conference calls and pre-bid meetings as needed.

+ Own or collaborate on project open issues lists.
+ Prepare and review drawings to communicate engineering ideas.
+ Create and document concepts, sketches, models, layouts, submittals, instructions, and complete production packages. Create and maintain completed 3-D engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
+ Perform moderate design tasks and prepare portions of project documents.
+ Work independently and collaboratively on planning, design, and/or research on conventional engineering projects.
+ Evaluate, analyze, interpret, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for engineering projects.
+ Assist in determining project schedule and budget.
+ Identify and resolve incomplete or conflicting design inputs.
+ Independently resolve problems encountered by selecting and interpreting information from various engineering resources.

**Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
+ Associate or bachelor’s degree in related management or technical field or completion of IBEW/UAW or comparable apprenticeship program preferred.
+ Five or more (5+) years of relevant industry-related experience and proficiency in detail design work within land development, construction, or utilities.
+ Five or more (5+) Years of electrical system installation and/or commissioning.
+ Minimum of two (2+) years of experience as an Electrical Foreman on a construction site preferred.
+ Experience in electrical project management and/or installation coordination.
+ Experience in technical field related to industrial systems and processes preferred.
+ Experience reading construction plans.
+ Familiarity with practices and procedures pertaining to technical matters to include construction, manufacturing, substation design, and electrical engineering.
+ Knowledge of the fundamentals of electricity preferred.
+ Ability to process engineering changes to existing drawings.
+ Proficient in design and drafting procedures.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
+ Knowledge of NEC standards and electrical design principles.
+ Knowledge of Classified/Protected Areas relating to electrical design requirements.
+ Must hold a valid driver’s license and successfully pass a motor vehicle records check.

+ Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to occasionally climb permanent and temporary stairs, climb ladders, negotiate work areas under construction, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
+ Regularly requires use of construction personnel hoists.
+ May work in an indoor professional office environment, which can consist of possible bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.
+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
+ Work is primarily conducted on-site at the construction worksite where the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in this work environment can be moderate to very loud.
+ Mobility around an office environment.
+ Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
+ Occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
+ Occasional pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds.
+ Occasional reaching outward or above shoulder.
