Job Title: Electrical Designer - Industrial Controls Automation
Location: Clearwater, FL
Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Designer to join our team in the industrial controls automation industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing control panels and wiring harnesses for various industrial automation systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Design and develop control panels and wiring harnesses for industrial automation systems.
+ Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
+ Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical components.
+ Conduct site visits to assess existing electrical systems and gather necessary data for design improvements.
+ Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines.
+ Provide technical support during the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues that arise during the construction and operation of industrial automation systems.
+ Maintain accurate documentation of all electrical designs and modifications.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
+ Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in the industrial controls automation industry.
+ Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, and EPLAN.
+ Experience with electrical design tools like ETAP and SKM PowerTools.
+ Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders.
+ Willingness to travel to various industrial sites as needed.
Preferred Skills:
+ Experience with PLC programming and automation systems.
+ Familiarity with industrial control systems and safety protocols.
