Job Description
Under close and frequent supervision, the Electrical Designer assists Engineers, Project Managers, or Management by performing the routine aspects of electrical engineering assignments. This role provides familiarity with the programs, staff, and operating procedures of the company.
ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical design calculations for low/medium voltage power distribution systems, lighting, security/fire systems, data/telecommunications systems, and more.Create sketches, technical comparisons, and similar technical work as required by the assignment.Coordinate project assignments with Engineers, Project Managers, and Management within the team.Review drawings supplied by vendors, clients, engineers, and architects, and recommend necessary changes.Research code issues and work with City, State, and County officials.Research design options and document findings for Engineers, Project Managers, and Management.Assist with duties assigned by Engineers, Project Managers, and Management.Attend site investigations, project kick-off, and design review meetings, and interact with clients as experience progresses.Essential SkillsProficiency in electrical design, AutoCAD MEP, and Revit.Ability to work with multiple managers on quick projects.Knowledge of electrical theory as it relates to building codes, conduit runs, and lighting layouts.Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.Knowledge of Building Codes.Educational and professional background in concepts of electrical engineering, conduit, lighting design, electrical engineering, project management, fire systems, power distribution, and low voltage.Knowledge of Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD.Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.Ability to provide and follow written and verbal directions/instructions.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
