Job Overview

As an Electrical Designer at Hardrock, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of medium and low voltage electrical systems for underground hard rock mobile mining equipment. Working under the guidance of the Electrical Design Supervisor, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the electrical systems meet performance and cost targets. Your responsibilities will include creating electrical schematics, selecting components, supporting prototype builds, and executing design validation plans.

Key Job Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, product management, and commercial teams, to understand product functionality and develop electrical system requirements. Provide support to Production by addressing build issues and troubleshooting electrical systems. Create detailed electrical schematics, harnesses, and panel drawings for mining mobile equipment. Develop and implement test and validation plans for new product development and production processes. Ensure seamless functionality across different disciplines by coordinating with various teams, including mechanical, hydraulic, aftermarket, and production. Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to provide specifications for production launch and optimize component selection. Qualifications/Requirements Good knowledge of electrical design principles. Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit design and power distribution. Proficiency in CAD software, with experience in SolidWorks and SolidWorks Electrical being advantageous. Basic knowledge of electrical components and their integration into complex systems. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic issues related to electrical systems. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality work. Familiarity with engineering change notices, requirements, and safety regulations. Experience with Engineering ERP systems and familiarity with industry standards. Additional Information
