Electrical Designer

Wood is currently looking for Electrical Designer to join our System Integration (SI) team within our Digital Consulting business supporting across our UK projects.

This is a hybrid role that can be based at any of the following UK offices: Aberdeen, Staines, Reading, Glasgow or Northampton with the expectation of travel as required. 

Applicants must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

The Role

The role contributes to engineering excellence by providing the link between engineering design theory and practical application, translating critical design concepts into workable plans for tangible end-products. 

The successful candidate will undertake technical assignments that are a significant part of an ongoing engineering program and prepares mechanical or digital drawings, diagrams or blueprints and/or models of various products or structures.

Our Systems Integration (SI) team, work with a variety of high-profile clients across the energy sector. Delivering bespoke essential automation and control solutions that enable a safer and more efficient operation. 

Within SI, we are architecting our clients' digital ecosystems to be inherently safe, cybersecure and operable. Within our teams we integrate client source systems across their IT, Operational Technology (OT) environments, securely pushing OT data into IT systems as a foundation for transformation.

We design and integrate operational technology to achieve business, production, and operational goals.
