Electrical Designer II

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Two year Associate Degree in electrical or mechanical design from an accredited technical school.Broad knowledge of drafting and computer aided design and applies principles to assigned tasks.Working knowledge of basic electrical theory and simple circuits is required..Experience with electrical agencies and code requirements.Function in a technical engineering “team” environment.Preferred Skills: Creo, Microsoft Suite 

Responsibilities

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports, markups and hand sketches.Model 3D wiring harness through a product to and from components, sensors and circuit boards.Create assemblies and sheet metal parts utilizing a 3D CAD modeling software.Understand basic principles of designing equipment, drafting, and computer-aided design and apply principles to assigned tasks.Ability to make sketches, 2D and 3D engineering drawings and common computations.Understand and adhere to design and drafting standard practices.Bill of Material creation and maintenance.Experience with Pro-Engineer Creo, 3D solid modeling software and Wind-Chill PLM software is definite plus, but experience working in other 3D CAD programs such as Solid Works is acceptable.

Compensation:   

Base Pay Range: $60,000 - $75,000

Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
