We are looking for an Electrical Electronics Engineer to join our Shelby team!
As our Electrical Electronics Engineer you will, assists in all aspects of the aerospace actuation and motor controller product life cycle from proposal to sustainment. You will apply principles and techniques of electrical/computer engineering to fulfill product requirements, and address internal customer (program management, product support, manufacturing, quality, etc.) requests as needed. Creativity and latitude are expected to resolve problems of diverse scope while being detail oriented.

Utilize understanding of aerospace electronics design process includingrequirements generation, preliminary design, peer reviews, detailed design, test plan generation, integration and testExperienced in analog and digital embedded motor controllers for three phase
BLDC/PMSM motors – both new and sustaining projectsExercise knowledge in specific analog areas of experience including, but not
limited to, op-amps, comparators, passive and active filters, BJTs/FETs, and
other novel application specific circuitsExercise knowledge in specific digital areas of experience including, but not
limited to, logic ICs, state machines, memory technologies, microprocessors, and digital communication protocols (ARINC-429, CAN, I²C, SPI, USB, RS-232, RS- 485, and others as needed)Exercise knowledge of motor control theory.Exercise knowledge of power and energy conservation.Appreciate the need for and implementation of a rigorously created and
maintained component libraryAppreciate the need for and implementation of clean/legible circuit schematics used to create printed wiring boards (PWB) and assemblies (PWA) using Altium within boundaries of internal processes/procedures/guidelinesModel and simulate analog and digital circuits using simulation tools such as, but not limited to, P-spice (Mixed Sim in Altium), MATLAB/Simulink, Simetrix/Simplis, PLECS, and/or Power Sim (PSIM)Verify intended operation and performance of prototypes and other hardware in the lab environmentGenerate high-quality specifications, reports, publications, and support proposals with a preference for doing so in DOORS (or equivalent).Experience with MIL standards MIL-STD-461/464, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-801.Experience with RTCA standards, including DAL certifications for aerospace
application, DO-160, DO-178, and DO-254.Strong competency and experience dealing with SAE ARP4754 and ARP4761
are preferred, but not required.Experience with pre-contract customer discussions, briefing technical
capabilities, conducting in-person trade study discussions - including schedule, cost impacts, and shaping technical requirements.Review vendor experience and capability to support product development

Due to the nature of work performed in this role, incumbents must be a UScitizen. Security clearance is a plusBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, with 10+ years of
experience. Master’s education level is a plus.Experience in the development of aerospace actuators and motor controllers is a plusStrong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS OfficeStrong customer interface capabilities and negotiation skillsProject Management experienceFamiliarity in root cause and corrective action methodologiesAbility to interact with all levels of internal and external managementCreativity, innovation, and commitment to excellence with the ability to work in a diverse, fast paced environmentAbility to work in a team environmentCustomer focused with a bias towards action
