Electrical Engineer – Generation Mid-Level

Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:

POWER Engineers, member of WSP is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to work in our Generation Electrical Department. Openings are available for the Boise, ID; Overland Park (Kansas City), KS; and Oradell, NJ offices.

Responsibilities include:Lead and support electrical engineer on design of power generation projectsLead and support electrical engineer on the design of renewable energy projectsLead and support electrical engineer on power plant and switchyard electrical system upgradesLead and support electrical engineer on federal electrical system upgradesMentor and teach junior engineersProject proposal and budget developmentRequired Education/ExperienceBachelor of Science in Electrical EngineeringElectrical PE License6-8+ years of detailed electrical design engineering experience, including calculations, equipment specifications, etc.5+ years of relay coordination and schematic designCAD, Microsoft Office, and ETAP or SKM software experienceDesired Education/ExperienceMaster of Science or MBAPrevious experience leading a group of engineers is a plus5+ years of detailed design engineering experience in generating facilities and/or substations is a plus5+ years of owners engineering experience in generating facilities and/or substations is a plus
