Electrical Engineer
About the role TouchPoint Medical is seeking a motivated and talented Electrical Engineer to join our growing R&D team. This is an exciting opportunity for an entry-level engineer or new college graduate to apply their passion for electronics design in a real-world, fast-paced medical technology environment. What you will be doing • Design and develop embedded electronic systems for next-generation medical carts and medication dispensing devices. • Create schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer or other ECAD Tools. • Work across analog and digital domains, integrating sensors, actuators, and microcontrollers. • Design and troubleshoot circuits involving power management, battery systems, and motor control. • Interface with peripherals using UART, I2C, SPI, and integrate components like LCDs and touchscreens. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on prototyping, validation, and system integration. How you will be making an impact Overall, the Electrical Engineer is a valuable asset to the New Product Development team, contributing significantly to faster innovation, improved product quality, efficient manufacturing, and cost savings. About you • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (recent graduate okay). • Experience with embedded system design, including analog/digital circuit design and microcontroller integration. • Hands-on knowledge of ECAD tools such as Altium, Eagle, or KiCAD • Familiarity with peripheral interfaces: UART, I2C, SPI. • Exposure to power electronics, battery management, and sensor integration. • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. • A growth mindset with a passion for learning new technologies and continuous improvement. • Self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a collaborative environment.
