JOB TITLE: Electrical Engineer

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supervising the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment, systems, and processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives, ensures equipment reliability, and assists with automation and control system projects in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues on production equipment and plant infrastructure Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts Design and implement improvements to control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and automation equipment Lead electrical engineering support for capital projects, including new equipment installations Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to reduce downtime and improve efficiency Ensure all electrical systems comply with NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring electrical failures Assist with preventive and predictive maintenance strategies related to electrical systems Support vendor and contractor coordination during installations or upgrades Participate in project planning, budgeting, and reporting for electrical-related initiatives Provide technical support for energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives Performs other duties as directed.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering Technology field
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Five years’ experience in manufacturing or product engineering. Experience and strong knowledge working with Allen Bradley, PLCs, HMIs, and RSLogix software Familiarity with NFPA 70E, NEC, and OSHA electrical safety standards Experience with industrial automation, sensors, and machine control systems Experience with programming and troubleshooting servo systems Experience with Robot interface (Motoman preferred) Knowledge and experience with National Instrument Labview Knowledge of vision systems, Cognex and Keyence preferred Demonstrates ability to manage a project(s) from conception through completion. Ability to work well with plant personnel and vendor. Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
