Electrical Engineer
Requirements

Hands-on experience engineering electrical and mechanical designs for control panels with motor starters, soft starters, VFDs, relays, PLCs, and related components

Understanding of feeder and branch circuits and power distribution for 230–600 V panels; typical feeds 25–1,500 A

Knowledge of MSHA electrical requirements

Familiarity with drafting standards, symbols, nomenclature, engineering terms, reference materials, and vendor specifications for control panels

Expert knowledge of UL 508A; ability to obtain UL Manufacturer’s Technical Representative (MTR) certification within 6 months and maintain certification

Ability to produce clear, complete detail drawings from sketches, notes, or requirements

Preferred Skills

Proficiency with EPLAN Pro Panel

Experience with electrical requirements for mining and aggregates equipment

Familiarity with Canadian certifications (CSA or cUL) for control panels

Responsibilities

Use EPLAN to create electrical schematics, 3D physical layouts, wire routing, and production instructions

Collaborate with internal/external customers to determine machine electrical needs and design compliant control panels

Export bills of material (BOMs) and production data from completed designs efficiently

Ensure designs support error-free, on-time production on the assembly floor

Assist shop with design, assembly, and BOM issue resolution; support the shop floor during manufacturing

Prepare accurate detail drawings and documentation packages; review manufacturing issues, correct, and document changes

Build and maintain EPLAN environment assets: parts records, templates, macros, symbols, and related digital libraries

Create BOMs for production orders that meet customer specifications

Lead cost-reduction, process, and product enhancement tasks

Help facilitate warranty issues and coordinate required design updates

Comply with all applicable safety rules and procedures



Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
