Participates in the development of new designs and adaptation of existing ones for next-generation semiconductor equipment working in a multidisciplinary teamDevelopment of embedded systems that support real-time distributed control, multiprocessing, and data analysisDevelopment of power electronics and controls for motors, actuators, and transducers including servo drive, discrete power amplifier, and power supply designMultilayer PCB design and verification using Altium Designer®Continuous-flex cable design for interconnecting bonder systems using Zuken™ E3.cableCoordinates production release of PCB and cable designs via Siemens Teamcenter®Writes specifications and documentation for new designsPerforms bench and lab testing at the board and machine integration levelPerforms bring-up, troubleshooting, and debugging of prototypesSupport production/field issue with respect to system/subsystem related problem as a team within cross functional group.Conduct engineering verification and setup/execute reliability testing plan.Experience with circuit design and analysisComprehension of datasheets and application notes for component selectionWorking knowledge of PID controls and feedback theoryExperience with PCB design: component libraries, schematic capture, and layoutAltium Designer® experience is a plusExperience with cable design for continuous-flex applicationsZuken™ E3.cable experience is a plusExperience with microcontrollers and firmware programming using CExperience working with debuggers is a plusExperience with reading and writing technical specificationsExperience with FPGAs and HDLIP integration, RTL simulation, and timing analysisFamiliar with lab equipment such as an oscilloscope and current/differential probeKnowledge of different types of motor applications, such as DC servo motors, 3 phase linear motors, stepper motors, voice coil motors etc.Knowledge on VME, PCIe, RS485, Ethernet, LVDS, and Serdes is a plus.Knowledge of machine level electrical system architecture design is a plus.
