Electrical Engineer

Rite-Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking skilled and motivated candidates for a Junior to Mid-level Electrical Engineer position in Middletown, RI to support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Code 34 Imaging - In Service Engineering Agent (ISEA). A System Engineer with a background in Electrical or Computer Engineering will also be considered. This position will join a multi-disciplinary team to support design, development, capability enhancements, testing support, and in-service support of the Imaging systems (Periscopes and Photonics Masts) on US Navy vessels. \n

Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nDesign and create electrical schematics, diagrams, and requirements for Technical Data Packages (TDP).\nPrototype and debug hardware designs in a lab environment.\nPerform technical analysis of hardware systems and subsystems. \nDevelop system interconnect diagrams and wire harnesses that connect electronic equipment within an overall system.\nPerform variety of cable designs (RF, fiber, copper, etc.) within military specification.\nDevelop test plans, test readiness evaluations, hardware installation, and troubleshooting.\nReview, analyze, and effectively provide feedback for electrical schematics, diagrams, and requirements for Technical Data Packages (TDP).\nAssist in the development and review of Government Furnished Information (GFI).\nReadiness to travel and support installations, certifications, and new platform configurations.\nModel software services, external interfaces, internal interfaces, and data structures.\nPerform Trade Studies of mil-spec and Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) materials.\nWork closely with other mechanical and systems engineers to deliver fully functional solutions.\nConduct and actively participate in cross-discipline design reviews.\nCollaborate with various stakeholders (Navy, Government Civilians, OEM, sub-contractors).\n\n

Requirements\/Skills:\n\nBachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering \nAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook.\nExperience with electrical CAD design software such as, Altium, OrCAD, LTSpice.\nExperience working with lab equipment such as multi meters, oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, logic analyzers, Field Fox, etc.\nAbility to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, to all levels of the customer organization is required.\nAbility to effectively interpret customer goals and tasking as assigned. \nAbility to effectively work independently and\/or within a multi-disciplinary team.\nExceptional organizational & critical thinking skills, as well as an unwavering attention to detail.\nAbility to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.\nPosition may require up to 10% travel.\nPosition requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.\n\n

Additional Skills of Interest (not required):\n\n3-5 years' experience with submarine systems\nExperience with PCB layout and design.\nExperience with microcontrollers, FPGAs and embedded systems. \nGeneral knowledge of mechanical CAD design software such SolidWorks 2021.\nActive Department of Defense secret security clearance\n\n
